Komodo island is located is located between the island of Sumbawa and Flores at the western tip of the Province of Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) and is best known as the habitat of giant Monitor lizards know as Komodo Dragons.  Komodo Island is part of the Komodo National Park and Marine reserve with warm swift current diving a feature. The underwater world is teeming with a seemingly endless collage of fish species and coral formation. You will be pleasantly surprised at what you find and ponder the contrast of a barren monotone island above with the sea so full of color below the waterline.  If you go to Komodo to see the Dragons, you definitely must dive there also - what more could an adventure traveler ask for than prehistoric dragons & excellent diving, nature park and diving destination (all at the one destination).
